Pulsecom's Ethernet access solutions are environmentally hardened so that they can be installed in the outside plant, in Remote Terminals, huts, or as standalone units that are wall or pole-mounted. These rugged demarcation devices can be used at the UNI or ENNI supporting business E-LINE, E-LAN, E-TREE or E-ACCESS services. The units are ideal for fault and performance monitoring up to the customer locations and make use of standards based protocols (ITU-T Y.1731/IEEE 802.1ag) to gather performance metrics for Frame Delay, Inter-Frame Delay Variation, and Frame Loss.
Pulsecom's Ethernet access products are ideally suited for Mobile Backhaul applications. With MEF 18 compliant CES support, the products can be used to deliver both DS1 and Gigabit Ethernet Services, enabling a migration path from 1G to 4G/LTE mobile technologies. DS1s include full remote in-band visibility and loopback capabilities. MTSO to BTS frequency distribution can be supported through SyncE or PTP. Sub-50ms protection is supported through ITU-T G.8031 linear protection switching. Mobile Backhaul Operators can also deploy these products in 1Gbps or 2.5 Gbps protected rings based on G.8032, which dramatically lowers the cost of service delivery compared to SONET or OTN technologies.
